A man was taken into custody in connection with the fatal shooting of another man at a North Hollywood car wash Saturday afternoon, police said.
The shooting was reported just after 1 p.m. at the Plaza Hand Car Wash in the 6500 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police found the man dead at the scene. A gun was recovered.
Police said witnesses called for help before gunfire broke out.

“During the argument, numerous witnesses observed what was happening and called the police, ” said LAPD Detective Richard Wheeler. “As the suspect was fleeing the scene, air unit was already overhead, was following this vehicle."
