Here's what's opening in wide release this weekend in movie theaters.

1. 'Bridge of Spies' - PG-13

Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks team for the fourth time with Spies, which is inspired by the real-life events that took place during the post-World War II paranoia of the 1950s and early '60s.

The CIA recruits a lawyer to negotiate the release of a captured U.S. pilot.

2. 'Crimson Peak' - R

USA TODAY's Maeve McDermott says "Crimson Peak takes all our favorite scary movie conventions – ghosts, old mansions, creepy pianos, monsters under the bed – and gives them a surreal Gothic treatment."

Dark secrets haunt a mountaintop house where a man lives with his sister and new bride. VPC

3. 'Goosebumps' - PG

A teen (Dylan Minnette) teams up with the girl-next-door (Rush) and her mysterious dad, R.L. Stine (Black), when the monsters from his horror novels spring to life.
