They are both on the beach. The Sheraton (fka Americana) is about 50 years old. The Dip is brand new -- well a couple of years old & is closer to Gulfstream park & its new casino. Sheraton is across street from Bal Harbour shops & has easy public transport to South Beach. Dip has easier transport to Ft. Lauderdale. My guess is you'd be on the young side of average for either of their guest lists. For 20 somethings I'd recommend SoBe.
