Swedish Massage
Swedish massage is the most common type of massage therapy in the United States. Therapists use long smooth strokes, kneading, and circular movements on superficial layers of muscle using massage oil or lotion. Swedish massages can be very gentle and relaxing. If you've never had a massage before, we would recommend trying this one first.
Hot Stone Massage
Heated, sooth stones are placed on certain points on the body to warm and loosen tight muscles and balance energy centers in the body. Our therapists can also hold the stones and apply gentle pressure with them, to provide a comforting warmth. Hot stone massages are beneficial for those who have muscle tension but prefer a lighter massage.
Deep Tissue Massage
Our deep tissue massages target the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, using slower strokes or friction techniques across the grain of the muscle. Deep tissue massages can be used for chronically tight or painful muscles, repetitive strain, postural problems, or recovery from injury.
Shiatsu
Shiatsu is a form of Japanese bodywork that uses localized finger pressure in a rhythmic sequence on acupuncture meridians. Each point is held for two to eight seconds to improve the flow of energy and help the body regain balance.
Thai Massage
Thai massage aligns the energies of the body using gentle pressure on specific points. Thai massage also includes compressions and stretches. Our therapists will move and stretch you into a sequence of postures. Thai massages are energizing and can reduce stress and improve flexibility and range of motion.
Pregnancy Massage
Pregnancy massages are provided for expectant mothers, and our therapists will position and support the woman's body during the massage to reduce stress, decrease swelling, relieve aches and pains, and reduce anxiety and depression.
Reflexology
More than a simple foot massage- reflexology involves applying pressure to certain body points on the foot that correspond to organs and systems in the body. Ideal for individuals with aches and pains in their feet, and those who spend most of the day on their feet.
Sports Massage
Our sports massages are specifically designed for individuals who are involved in physical activity. The focus is on preventing and treating injury and enhancing athletic performance. Our therapists will use faster strokes and can include facilitated stretching. This massage can help loosen muscles and increase flexibility.
Craniosacral
A form of bodywork or alternative therapy which focuses primarily on respiration and regulating the flow of cerebrospinal fluid by using therapeutic touch to manipulate the synarthrodial joints of the cranium.
